Our Language Assistant from Canada

September 12, 2015

Our new English language assistant, Timothy Seier, joins us this week in classrooms. Coming from Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada, his home town, he grew up speaking French in school, though his first language is English and as a result, came up learning from both the English speaking and French speaking cultures. Timothy also spent both summers and winters travelling, experiencing Western Canada's natural world on fishing, canoe, skiing trips, etc.

Timothy completed his degree in Jazz studies at the University of Manitoba this past year; a study that has taken him to Chicago and New York City. In the summers Timothy used his skills working for a non-profit organization called Artists In Healthcare where he would play music in a local hospital every day for three months. He also led his own group in addition to working as a freelance musician in the local clubs and bars in and around Winnipeg.

Watch this space for an interview with Tim about his impressions of and experiences at our school, life in Berlin etc etc.
